PaTLA President Timothy A. Shollenberger (left) presents
PaTLA's first Community Service Award to trial lawyer Gerald A. McHugh Jr. of
Philadelphia. With McHugh is his son Michael. The award honored McHugh's work in
establishing a North Philadelphia thrift store that sells only safe children's toys and
clothes to families who could not otherwise afford them. The store is unique because it
employs residents of Hospitality House, a non-profit residential program for male
ex-convicts. The award was presented on October 20 at PaTLA's Board of Governors meeting
on Center City. |
