Doctors raising deposition fees to cover cost of malpractice insurance

May 26, 2004--Physicians in Connecticut have notified trial lawyers that the cost to obtain a deposition from them is about to skyrocket, reports the Connecticut Law Tribune. The Orthopedic Specialty Group says it is raising its rates to compensate for the rise in medical malpractice insurance costs. The price for the first two hours of deposition will be $4,000, and $1,000 will be charged for each subsequent hour. The entire article is available at the following link.
