Giant Capitol Rally against Caps on March 9, 2023
Senate to Consider Plan Imposing Caps in EVERY Civil Lawsuit
On Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at 1:00 PM, PaTLA is sponsoring a rally in the Main Rotunda of the Pennsylvania Capitol to highlight the inherent unfairness of caps on non-economic damages. The state Senate is planning to debate and possibly vote on constitutional amendments to cap non-economic damages sometime this spring and we MUST make it clear to decision makers that caps are unfair and should be rejected. Transportation will be provided from key pick-up points.
WE ARE AT A CRITICAL TIME IN THIS BATTLE AND WE NEED EVERY PATLA MEMBER TO STEP UP AND HELP US FIGHT BACK AGAINST EFFORTS TO TAKE AWAY THE RIGHTS OF OUR CLIENTS!
Every PaTLA member should plan to attend and bring clients who would be negatively impacted by these unfair caps.
Remember: They are attempting to cap damages in EVERY civil suit - including product liability and auto accidents - so this rally is not just about medical malpractice!
Please fax back the rally form to 215-546-5430 (ATTN: “RALLY”) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE WE NEED TO PLAN PROPERLY. If you don’t know which victims you can bring, just commit to bringing some and fax it back. You can add details later.
