Manufacturer liable for asbestos-related injuries
(1/8/2023)--The Superior Court ruled on Jan. 5 that the manufacturer of an asbestos product is liable for harm caused to a worker in Cauthorn v. Owens Corning Fiberglas, et. al. In its opinion, the court clarified the definition of "symptomatic" injuries caused by asbestos. The court also stated that although Cauthorn could not distinguish the brand of asbestos rope he was using at any given time, it was clear he had worked with appellant's rope by the accurate descriptions he gave. The opinion can be found on the court's Web site at the below link.
