(6/18/2004) - On Thursday, House Democratic Leader Bill DeWeese and Whip Mike Veon held a press conference to outline a package of legislation designed to address Pennsylvania’s medical malpractice issue.

The lawmakers focused on a renewed call for a study to determine if doctors really are leaving the Keystone State and, if not, what should be done with state funding used to help doctors pay medical malpractice insurance premiums.
