(6/14/2004) The Associated Press has reported that a South Carolina doctor’s proposal asking the American Medical Association to refuse care to trial lawyers drew angry responses from colleague’s at the AMA’s annual meeting on Sunday in Chicago.

According to the Associated Press, many doctors stood up to denounce the resolution in passionate speeches - even after its sponsor, Dr. J. Chris Hawk, asked that it be withdrawn.
